York man bitten by pitbull, treated at hospital

A York City man needed hospital treatment after being bitten by a pit bull Sunday evening, police said. York City Police said Jesus A. Rivera, of Vander Avenue, was in the 200 block of Park Place about 6 p.m. when he was attacked by two pit bulls.
He suffered a bite to his lower back and was transported to York Hospital, police said. A second victim, whose name was not released, suffered a scratch to his or her back but did not need to go to the hospital, police said.
It was unclear Monday morning whether police know who owns the dogs. Police said the animal enforcement officer is investigating.
