Dangerous dog seized in Handsworth

From Birmingham Mail

A DANGEROUS dog was seized by police in Handsworth yesterday.
Local officers, supported by specialist police dog handlers, entered the house of a family who they believed were keeping a banned breed.
The 40-year-old owner of a female pitbull dog handed the animal over to officers. It will now be destroyed.
PC John Marsh, from Lozells and East Handsworth neighbourhood policing team, said: “I would encourage people to contact us if they know or suspect anyone in their neighbourhood of keeping dangerous dogs.”
Anyone with information on dangerous dogs can contact the RSPCA 24-hour line on 0300 1234 999.
