Burns will be back in court for pit bull attack

By Don Reid, The Daily Reporter

Charles Burns again faces charges, after he allegedly ordered his pit bull against Rene Garcia on April 8 at his Athens Road home. Garcia was seriously injured at Burns’ home and then hospitalized.
Branch County Circuit Court Judge  Bill  O’Grady dismissed charges against  Burns after Chief Assistant Prosecutor Mark Webb attempted to amend the charges just five days before trial.
Burns sat in jail 166 days and now is out on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond following his arrest on new charging information.
