Police Officer's Dogs Attack Mother, 2 Children

Three dogs owned by a Duquesne police officer attacked a mother, her two children and their three dogs, according to Allegheny County police.
Investigators said three pit bulls, owned by Marcia Kratzenberg, attacked the victims on the Steel Valley Trail, near Linden Avenue, on Sept. 30.
After the attack, Kratzenberg placed her dogs into her car and left the scene.
The mother, children and dogs were treated for minor injuries.
County police have charged Kratzenberg with summary dog law violations.
The dogs have been quarantined at Kratzenberg's residence.
