Large, aggressive Pit Bull shot by police in Los Altos

By Ronnie Lovler, Los Altos Patch

Two reports about loose dogs top the list of incidents noted by the Los Altos Police Department in its most recent report.
A loose dog was reported at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday on Aura Way and Miramonte Avenue. A police officer made contact.
It was on Aura Way that a pitbull got loose and threatened a resident in the neighborhood Monday. Police later shot and captured what they described as a large, agressive pitbull. The dog had to be euthanized.
No further information was available at this time about the most current report of a loose dog in that neighborhood.
Another loose dog was reported on Frederick Court and Almond Avenue at 6:44 p.m. The dog was gone when officers arrived.
