Three found dead in home in northeast Detroit

By Naomi R. Patton, Detroit Free Press

Detroit police responding to a 911 call at 7:50 p.m. Friday found three males dead in a home in the 14800 block of Faircrest, near 7 Mile and Chalmers on the city’s northeast side, Detroit police Sgt. Eren Stephens said.
An emotional small crowd of friends or relatives of the victims — all believed to be in to be in their late teens or early 20s — were at the scene late Friday as the bodies were brought out of the house.
There were signs of dog fighting at the house, Stephens said, and police at the scene said 11 pit bulls were found alive.

Three Shot Dead Inside Detroit Home

Pit Bulls Complicated Police Investigation

A grisly scene on the 14000 block of Faircrest as three young men are found shot to death in a home.  At first, police found it difficult to get inside because of a large number of pit bulls at the house.  They eventually got those dogs out so investigators could do their work.  And now, they're confident they can solve this triple murder quickly.  Fox 2's Simon Shaykhet worked the scene all night.

3 dead at pit bull-fight house

Detroit Police said they found three dead young men among pit bulls in a home, 14800 block of Faircrest Street on Detroit's East side Friday night. On Saturday January 22, 2010, a frozen pit bull was still in the backyard. Dog bowls, a dog bone and cans of dog food could be seen around the house. According to a neighbor, several people lived in the house with many pit bulls in less than sanitary conditions. The same neighbor dog fights would take place in the home.
