Dead dog discovered in plastic tote

From Oceana's Herald-Journal

A dead dog found in a plastic storage tote left along a Shelby Township road has Oceana County Animal Control officers searching for clues.
According to Oceana County Animal Control Officer Terri Fisk, a pink 30-gallon plastic storage tote containing a pit bull mix puppy was found early Thursday morning, March 3, along the 3400 block of Water Road, between Oceana Drive and Hayes Road, by a nearby home owner.
The puppy, thought to be close to seven months in age, was brindle and white in color and wearing a black collar.
