Pit bull killed after allegedly attacking sheep flock

A pit bull was shot and killed in Funkstown, Md., after it and another dog allegedly killed 12 sheep and injured eight more on a farm.
The dog, named Bubba, was shot by the farmer’s son on Sunday morning. Another pit bull linked to the attack, Isabella, is in the custody of the Washington County Humane Society.
The dogs’ owner, Kayla Murphy, admitted to ABC7 that her dogs got free and that she couldn’t find them. But she’s convinced they did not commit the attack on the sheep.
Murphy, who is 19 and pregnant, says her dogs were always gentle with her. She referred to the pit bulls her children.
One neighbor, however, said the dogs constantly run wild and "It's like we're being held hostage in our own homes."
The Associated Press reports that a Washington County Humane Society spokeswoman said Monday the dog will be declared "vicious and dangerous."
