Puppy found near busy intersection with gash on neck

A four-month-old puppy is looking for a new home after she suffered a serious injury. "Frankie" was found with a gash on her neck on U.S. 31 near County Line Road in Greenwood, Indiana. The pitbull-terrier mix is now recovering at the Greenwood Animal Clinic.

Veterinarians think someone put a collar on the dog too tightly, causing the neck wound. The dog was stitched up and is said to be recovering well. Johnson County Animal Control is footing the bill for her treatment.
