Grand Forks police officer shoots pit bull

From Devils Lake Journal

The Grand Forks Police Department says an officer shot and killed a pit bull dog over the weekend.
Authorities say the officer was responding to a report of a man being bitten on the arm by a dog Saturday when the pit bull charged at a citizen and then at the officer.
The animal's owner was cited for having a dog at large. The pit bull's carcass was taken to a local veterinarian to be tested for rabies.
