Greensboro Woman Injured By Pack Of Dogs

By Matt McKinney, WFMY

A Greensboro woman was injured when she was bitten by several dogs during a walk Tuesday afternoon.
Police said that Phyllis Ray, 71, was walking her dog near her Thomaby Drive home around 2pm.  She said her dog was attacked by 3-4 dogs that appeared to be mixed pit bull lineage.
Ray told police she attempted to protect her dog when the attacking dogs turned on her.  She sustained injuries to her back, face and arms before a nieghbor beat the dogs away.
Ray was taken to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment.  Her injuries are described as non-life threatening.
Witnesses said that two hispanic males in a dark green Chevy Silverado extended cab truck picked up the dogs and drove towards Old Oak Ridge Road.
Greensboro police are looking for the vehicle and its occupants. Persons with information about this incident are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
